IV Drip Therapy is a revolutionary treatment that delivers essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients directly into your bloodstream via a cannula inserted into the vein, ensuring maximum absorption and immediate results. Whether you’re looking to boost your energy, enhance your beauty, or improve your overall wellness, our customized IV drips can help you achieve your goals.

Though at first glance, IV drips may remind us of the emergency rooms in the hospitals. However, that is no longer the case. IV therapy is now being used worldwide to alleviate a multitude of problems such as aches, pains, provide wellness and anti-aging benefits, boost immunity, detoxify the body and even to alleviate soreness or get rid of a hangover!

History and origin

IV Therapy has long been a staple in the medical community, with its origins dating back to the 1600s when medical professionals first attempted injecting medications into veins. Despite early setbacks due to poor hygiene, the practice was revitalized during World War I as a lifesaving treatment.

The 1960s marked a significant evolution in intravenous vitamin therapy when Dr. John Myers developed his renowned cocktail of vitamins and minerals. Initially used for hydration and medication delivery in the early 20th century, IV therapy expanded its role in emergency medicine and surgery during the 1950s and 1960s.

Recently, it has gained traction in the wellness and beauty industries for its potential to enhance overall health and appearance.

HOW DOES

IV DRIP THERAPY WORK?

Intravenous (IV) drip therapy involves delivering fluids, vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients directly into the bloodstream through a vein instead of oral ingestion. By bypassing the digestive system, it allows full absorption of nutrients, making them immediately available for your body and providing immediate and efficient results.

This treatment is suitable for most people of all ages who are sick, injured, dehydrated from exercise or heat, or undergoing surgery. Intravenous rehydration is a simple, safe and common procedure with a low risk of complications.

Preparation

A healthcare provider prepares the IV drip solution based on the patient’s needs. The solution can contains Glutathione, essential vitamins, minerals, Kojic acid, folic acid and also includes other essential nutrients

Insertion

During the procedure, a healthcare professional will insert a cannula into a person’s vein, usually in the crook of their arm. They can then attach a tube with an IV bag containing fluids, which then drip down the tube directly into the vein.

The fluids or nutrition in IV therapies are specific to each person requiring the treatment.

Administration

The IV bag is hung on a stand, and gravity allows the solution to flow through the tube and into the bloodstream. The rate of administration can be controlled to ensure the patient receives the right amount over a specific period.

Monitoring

Throughout the process, the healthcare provider monitors the patient’s vital signs and the infusion rate to ensure several factors such as:

  • The drip rate is checked to ensure that the IV fluids are being administered at the correct rate.
  • The level of fluid remaining in the IV bag is monitored to prevent air from entering the IV line when the bag becomes empty, which can cause air embolism.
  • The patient’s vital signs and overall condition are monitored to detect any adverse reactions to the therapy, such as allergic reactions, infections, or fluid overload.
  • The insertion site is inspected for signs of infiltration (where fluid leaks into surrounding tissue), phlebitis (inflammation of the vein), or infection. Redness, swelling, or pain at the site can indicate complications.
  • The IV tubing and connections are checked regularly to ensure there are no leaks, kinks, or disconnections that could disrupt the flow of fluids.

Completion

Once the IV bag is empty or the prescribed amount has been administered, the needle is removed, and a bandage is applied to the insertion site.

IV drip therapy includes a healthy combination of nutrients and antioxidants that improves the health and strength of your skin and hair. While most IV drip treatments generally contain IV fluids, electrolytes, B12, B-complex vitamins, Vitamin C, Glutathione and Biotin IV, beauty drip treatments offered by hair and skin clinics are customized to address specific issues such as skin whitening, hair fall or anti-aging. This ensures that your specific skin and hair issues are met.

The treatment helps in detoxifying your body and rejuvenate your appearance from the inside out. Unlike creams and oral supplements, IV therapy targets and removes free radicals that contribute to ageing, hair loss and tissue damage.

BENEFITS OF

IV DRIP THERAPY

Daily activities, stress, and other factors play a significant role in the aging process and a decrease in energy levels. IV treatments can help you rejuvenate and improve your overall health. Each formula contains customized combinations of antioxidants, electrolytes, essential fluids, and vitamins

Helps in Skin Whitening

IV drip therapy often includes ingredients like glutathione, a powerful antioxidant known for its skin-lightening properties. Glutathione helps to inhibit melanin production, leading to a brighter and more even skin tone.

Skin Rejuvenation for youthful appearance

Beauty IV drips consist of a unique blend of vitamins, minerals, and electrolytes. They target and eliminate free radicals that contribute to aging, naturally cleanse your body, and remove toxins to give your skin a youthful and rejuvenated appearance.

Reduces Pigmentation

Ingredients like vitamin C and glutathione help to reduce the appearance of dark spots, sun damage, and melasma by reducing oxidative stress and inhibiting melanin production, giving the skin a more radiant appearance.

Helps in Collagen Building

Collagen is essential for maintaining skin elasticity and firmness. IV drip therapy can include amino acids, vitamin C, and other nutrients that support collagen synthesis. This boost in collagen production helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, giving the skin a more youthful and plump appearance.

Skin Tightening

The nutrients in IV drips can enhance the skin’s elasticity and firmness by promoting collagen and elastin production. As a result, the skin becomes tighter and more resilient, reducing sagging and the appearance of fine lines.

Delays Ageing Process

IV therapy can significantly slow down the ageing process by delivering antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals directly to the bloodstream, combating the effects of free radicals and oxidative stress. This also helps in reducing the formation of wrinkles and fine lines while maintaining a youthful glow.

Skin and Health Rejuvenation

The comprehensive blend of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants in IV drips helps to rejuvenate both the skin and overall health. By improving cellular function and hydration, the skin looks more vibrant, and energy levels are boosted, leading to a more refreshed and revitalized appearance.

Improves Gut Health

IV drip therapy plays a crucial role in improving gut health by including ingredients such as probiotics, vitamins, and minerals. A healthy gut plays a crucial role in overall skin health by enhancing nutrient absorption and reducing inflammation, which leads to clearer, healthier skin.

Yes, we only use reputable and accredited compounding pharmacies for our ingredients. These infusions are only administered and monitored by a licensed Registered Nurse with skilled IV experience.

Side effects rarely happen if at all. If they do they are usually minor and short lived such as bruising or bleeding at IV site, warming or cooling sensation in arm during your infusion, tasting or smelling vitamins throughout your infusion. Having a vitamin smell in your urine 24 – 48 hours after infusion administration. Our staff are trained to manage all side effects that you may experience.

This depends on each individual’s needs and and/or ailment to be treated. For best results we recommend monthly infusions, with an additional infusion in that month if you may be feeling run down, under the weather, preparing for travel or a marathon, etc. Some of the treatments can be a quick fix and are only needed when the ailment is active ie: migraine, illness, post-workout or travel fatigue, etc. We suggest speaking to the Registered Nurse on site to collaborate what would be best to meet your needs.

Yes, vitamins and nutrients taken orally are only partially absorbed. Getting vitamins through the IV or IM process is a direct route to your system and your cells for maximum absorption. Some vitamins, such as B12, we would recommend that you take a break from your ‘at home’ supplement for 48 hours after that booster or if it is included in your infusion and then return to your daily vitamin regimen.

There are a few medications that can interact with IV therapy. Our Registered Nurse on staff will conduct a thorough client history to ensure the drip of your choice is safe and effective, and not interacting with your current medication regimen or current health diagnosis.

IV hydration goes straight to your blood stream bypassing the GI tract and absorbing 100% of the nutrients. Typically you will feel the effects same day of treatment. Full absorption or the vitamins administered can take up to 24 hours. Some of our infusions are designed for long term benefits and may not give you the immediate boost, but will support your system and nutrient needs over time.
